The first edition of the Franco-British Young Leaders was launched last week in London. Over four days, the Young Leaders met experts and discussed many areas pertaining to the Franco-British relations – from politics to science, culture or societal issues.
Announced by David Cameron and Francois Hollande in March 2016 at the Amiens Summit, it was initiated in close collaboration with the Embassy of France in the UK, the Embassy of the United Kingdom in France and Franco-British Connections, and has been supported by both governments and many public and private partners in both countries.
The ambition of the Franco-British Young Leaders programme is to develop new and enduring relationships between France and the UK, thanks to their most talented young ‘leaders and influencers’. We aim to nurture a new generation of 21st Century Leaders who will keep the Franco-British relationship at heart.
