The annual edition of the Franco-British Student Conference was organised on 18-20 March 2011 at Imperial College London. Last year’s edition had been organised at UCL and focused on promoting cooperation between France and the UK.
This year, the students at Imperial College decided to centre the Conference around Innovation, from the initial idea to the creation of value. Speakers from IBM and Bank of America, as well as academics from Imperial College and Ecole Normale Supérieure spoke about the importance of innovation in their work, as well as the differences between the French and British systems, throughout various Case Studies and Workshops.
The Conference was sponsored by the French Embassy, Bank of America, IBM, Ultra Electronics & Allianz Cultural Foundation and was organised by two Engineering students from Imperial College London in cooperation with the Franco-British Connections.
