Europe Minister Amélie de Montchalin travelled to London on 11 June, and met with MPs including Vince Cable, Leader of the Liberal Democrats, and Hilary Benn, Chair of the Exiting the European Union Select Committee.

She also met with the new cohort of the Franco-British Young Leaders, a project co-founded by four of our members.

Coming just a few days after the ceremonies commemorating the 75th anniversary of D-Day, which highlighted the historical ties between France and the United Kingdom, this visit was an opportunity to stress the closeness of the ties between our two countries and to reaffirm the importance of the bilateral relationship.
